Not excusing it at all but this is the 4th times these two teams have played this year and 3rd time in 20 days.

And...it's not difficult for teams/fanbases to develop bad blood when they play so frequently in such a short period of time.

But there is no excuse for yelling racial slurs. If I were the KHSAA I would make sure that the offending school got the message that it will not be tolerated.

I can't see it happening either. Maybe a knucklehead or two could have said something that was offensive, not saying anyone did, but the people at South Laurel would not allow what some are claiming to happen.

I was there and was close to student section. Didn't hear anything remotely racist. Souths best player is African American, so it would make zero sense. South has one of the most vocal student sections around maybe someone heard a different chant and tried to make it something it wasn't.

 

Great game last night would have liked to see it go to overtime. The foul that was called on the three was probably the correct call but you see lots of games where that doesn't get called at the buzzer when it's tied. Good luck to Williamsburg moving on.
