Should be a great year for WKU with the recruiting class they had last year. They return one of the best quarterbacks in college football Brandon Doughty. I was looking at their roster and the Highlands kid Nick True is listed as a TE everybody thought he would end up being a tackle.

I sure did, how big is he now?

I really like WKU recruiting KY kids. It's really fun to catch their games and recognize multiple names.

They really had an offense this year. Defense not so much. Several basketball scores during the season.

Most their Freshman redshirted last year. They have some good kids on defense from that class. I would love to see them beat Vandy on the season opener.

Some fellow alums and I are planning to go down since it's the holiday weekend. With my kids all out of the house I'm hoping to make 3-4 games this year. My daughter graduated from IU and she's planning to take us to that one also. In the past I've usually only been to homecoming each year.

They will have RB Joe Brown (Butler), WR Fant, WR Farris, TE True and 240 RB Darby on offense to help this year. The defense will have LB Whyte, DB Mims and LB Duvall to name a few. All those kids are from last years recruiting class I think they will make a big difference.

They have a nice trend going if they can keep it up. They went from missing a bowl game to getting to one and losing to finally winning one last year. Now they need to work on getting a couple more wins during the season to try to get to a little better bowl. How they travel will always be an obstacle they have to deal with.

I will be taking a kid down there for a recruiting visit this weekend and they gave us some basketball tickets. It should be fun time!

Man, I can't wait for them to kick off the season. Talk about a fun atmosphere. BG and WKU have always had the "College Town, USA" feel, but since the move to D1 football and their success...things have turned up a notch.

Great football. Winning football. Tailgating there is a blast & not a bad seat in the house.

The college football world needs Boise State east of the Mississippi and I'd love for WKU to become just that.

Their record kept them from getting more pub last year, is what it is with that and expected. But they were literally 4 plays away from being a 1 loss team last year.

Will Reece Ryan stay on the team?

Yes, he's a good kid that did what 99% of college kids do and drink underage. He'll make better decisions from here on out.
