Ludlow Coach Finally Named

Featured Replies

From what I have heard Ludlow hasn't really even started interviewing people. Who knows though as they may all be keeping it a big secret. I'll talk to my source to see if they have heard anything at all about this whole situation.

How are spring workouts going in the abscence of a head coach? I presume either Coach Childress or Coach Borchers is once again heading up the program. Can anyone report on what kind of numbers have come out, and what ages those kids are?

What is taking so long? If this is true, they are hurting the team by dragging their feet.

Could the uncertainty in the administration, with the Superintendent retiring be involved in any way?

I don't know if it's because of this or not.. I do know that Ludlow's offseason program with Borchers being the interim head coach has gotten a lot better. These kids have been working extremely hard doing conditioning and a new weight program. I believe that the job is Borchers to lose but we will have to see. In my eyes, he is by far the best candidate for the job due to his loyalty to the team and the relationships that he has developed with the players. I know that I am rooting for him to get the job!:thumb:

I'm sure that the Superintendent Search has at least played some part in the delay of naming the new coach. Would think an announcement is forthcoming but probably wouldn't expect anything official until late next week.

:thumb: I agree Borchers offseason program for the team is really good! I know him and Coach Childress ran the offseason training program before Coach Hensley was hired as coach! And well those few months when they ran that offseason program was the hardest and toughest workouts I have ever had in my life. So I know for sure that if Coach Borchers is named the coach that they definitely will be in GREAT shape!

I really do not see any other candidates that would be better for this job than Coach Borchers! He has remained loyal to this program through the good and the bad, and also stayed here when he had a chance to go become a head coach somewhere else! In my mind there is no reason why anyone else besides Coach Borchers should be named the new Head Coach, because he deserves it and he is just the best one for the job to keep this program heading in the right direction!!!

From what I have been hearing Borchers was offered the job last night. Not sure if it's true or not yet though.
