Tennessee was one of the first to have a synthetic floor....don't know if it was tartan.

 

Stokely Athletic Center had a tartan floor.

NC State used that type of floor for many years.

 

Yes.

I haven't been to their gym in a long time but I believe Riverside Christian has a rubber type surface. That's a big improvement on what they had back in the '60s and '70s, which was concrete. Their gym is located in an area that floods which rules out the use of wood.
