Not in the real world,,saw Clark for the first time tonight, have saw Scott and Harrison a couple times ,,they just don't compare with Mason/Campbell.....

I learned a long time ago , you can't judge a player or a team by just seeing them one time.

Apparently there is no team chemistry problem for Harrison Co. as some anticipated.

This was about a 3-5 point game in either direction for three quarters. In the fourth, Trenton Thompson had a stretch where I believe he scored 10 consecutive points. He had 3 baskets where he caught the ball at the top of the key, drove, and scored--twice with a nifty spin move. Luke Sharrock was guarding him those two times, I believe, and then Cornelius the third time. Jenkins found him on a fourth basket and I think he had a putback on the other basket.

In the first half (and right out of the gate), Harrison County tried to work it to Thompson on the block, but GRC--namely Cornelius--made that a difficult task. Thompson stepped out and hit a 3 for his first basket of the game, and I think he had maybe 5 or 7 points in the first half. But the game turned on his offensive performance there in the fourth quarter. GRC was never able to recover from it, though they did come back when they hit some shots and forced some turnovers. Plus, the Breds missed a handful of free throws in the final minute or two.

Harrison County has some length, which I felt gave GRC some problems. GRC's defense was good enough to get a win last night. Their offense, though better from a year ago, still has some work to be done. Braxton Greene is a much improved player. He and Anderson were the Cards' best performers last night IMO. King played okay and I thought Jordan Davis did some nice things.

D.J. Jenkins showed very little rust from not having played a game in a while. When he asserted himself in the 2nd half, GRC didn't have anyone that could defend him--and they have some guys who flat out get after it. King is the most tenacious defender in the 10th Region IMO, but Jenkins is just too skilled offensively. I love how he created for others last night.

It was a good night for Harrison County. Their two studs played well, but they got some good production from the supporting cast--specifically Robbie Stroub. If they can duplicate what they did last night, it'll change the entire landscape of the 10th.

Are you and GRC drinking from the same water bottle?

:lol2: I learned that when I went and watched what was supposed to be the best player in the 14th region MANY years ago. Came back and said he was the most over rated player I had ever seen. The coach took them back that night and made them practice after the game. They played that bad. Saw him play in the regional and state tourney and saw a completely different player and team. They made it to the simi-finals on a Saturday morning and lost in OT of the State tourney. That player ended playing for Coach Rupp at UK. Lesson well learned.

Very much agree.

I saw Brossart & Campbell last year in January. Had that been the only game I'd watched of the Camels, I wouldn't have expected them to make it out of the 37th, much less win the 10th Region.

A team, a kid, a coach...all of them can have bad nights.

And the opposite is also true. A team or a player can have a night where they do something fantastic that's out of the norm.

How many days is it until the regional? LOL
