North Laurel at South Laurel predictions

Featured Replies

This one is at South and I think everyone is fairly healthy for this one.

North needs this one after what would have to be described as a "lackluster" start given the sub 500 record with high expectations coming into the season. I would have to think they have taken the break after the Holiday to try to right the ship. I am going with the premise that Coach Sizemore is going to have them ready for a strong kick in January with a big win over South Laurel.

North by 6

Got to watch their big man who I hear is averaging around 20 a game. This is a high average for. Big man so he must get the ball thrown into him a lot. At least they'll know where the ball is going and be able to defend it.

I assume the freshman, Bayley Rice, will draw the defensive assignment to stop the ball coming in the post. I like his chances to contain the middle. Not sure what NL is running in terms of a defense, but Bayley is a very good defender and can hold his own with the older players. Not many will be stronger or bigger than him and he moves well on his feet.

Grubb avg 18.5, caleb 15.8, allen 10 pts a game for south. peyton 28.4, asher 11 and rice 4.2

Asher and Broughton avg 61.5 percent of norths points per game. Grubb and taylor avg 57 percent for south. Throw Allen in the mix for south and those 3 avg 73.9 of Souths points.

Rice has been getting fouls called on him. It seems like he can't move without getting one called. Heard he had two the other night in less than 2:00 mins in first quarter. Seems like they don't want the big boy to play.

We'll if thats all Rice is averaging then North had no inside game. Are they not using him on offense? When playing with the Gators from Louisville he always averaged a double double.

They don't use him much. Rice is 19 of 59 from the field. Asher and Broughton are 187 of 379 so they take most of the shots.

Rice should have plenty of rebounding chances though.

I like the Grubbs kid from South. Can score in a variety of ways. He will have a tough defensive assignment trying to defend Broughton though.

South's big man isn't athletic but gets it done around the rim. Keeps the ball high on rebounds and post entries. Him v Rice should be a good match up.

Grubb wont guard Broughton

Would've assumed he would. Thanks for the correction.

Is Adam Sizemore starting for North yet?
