January 3, 201511 yr My brother is always good for getting me a random movie or two for Christmas. This year it was Snowpiercer. I had never heard of it before. Just watched it tonight. It was definitely different, but I really enjoyed it. Great twist. Anyone else seen it?
January 3, 201511 yr I have and I absolutely love it. It was also the lowest-grossing movie of 2014 I saw in the theater. When we finally get to meet the bad guy.... wow.
January 3, 201511 yr I thought it was really good. It popped up on my Netflix recommendations one night and I watched it. It starts a little slow, but once they get moving through the train it gets good. It's an interesting take on the dystopian genre (almost Nineteen-Eighty Four meets Atlas Shrugged somehow). My personal complaint was that I thought Chris Evans was miscast. I guess he's Captain America and all that, but I just didn't find him gritty or believable in this role. Apparently Harvey Weinstein's complaint was that it was too long, and when the director refused to cut it down, he torpedoed it with a limited release and it went straight to DVD.

October 9, 20187 yr Author Watched this again on Friday night. So good. I'd still highly recommend it. One of the better movies that many have probably never seen.
