Eastern gets this one on the road.

Good win for the Eagles. The 7th,as always, has top notch teams. trinity won't cake walk it.

The Eagles jumped out to a double digit lead early behind the first quarter offense of Kobey Jones with some help from Trey Moses.

Henry Clay just kept chipping away until they were finally able to overtake Eastern in the 4th quarter. A corner 3 from Campbell gave the Blue Devils a 6 point lead midway through the fourth for their biggest lead. Eventually Eastern had the ball down 3 with less than 15 seconds left. They missed a three from the wing, but they gathered the loose ball and got it to Reed who hit a 3 to tie the game with 4 seconds left. Henry Clay inbounded the ball to Campbell and he was fouled 80 feet from the basket with 0.4 seconds left, but he missed the front end of a bonus and the game went to OT.

In OT a pair of Tisdale free throws tied the game with 12.5 seconds left, but Reed was fouled 2 seconds later and his two free throws gave the Eagles the lead again. Tisdale threw an errant pass with 0.3 seconds left that essentially ended the game.

Tisdale was fantastic for Henry Clay. Moses has a very impressive skill set for his size. Reed was held in check for a lot of the game as Henry Clay was very physical with him, but he made the big plays when it counted. I'm sure he ended up with some very solid numbers.
