division 2 coach sloan from Newport and coach Hans from St. Henry/Rachel Lantry from Holy Cross

don't quote me but I do believe Heather Martin was the POY here in the 14th and you would think Dickie Adams as the coach.

Coaches association chose 1 player and coach from each region. That player to get to play in east-west all-star game[other players were invited too], and automatic invitation to Ky./Ind. tryouts.

The awards that you speak of as far as the 3 different divisions are local NKY awards and I congratulate each recipent. They to are very deserving of the honors they recieved.

The POY Awards that I originally posted were in regards to a statewide KABC selection of one coach and 1 player per region. For those awards that will be honored at the Girls state tourney in Bowling Green the 9th region honorees are Ludlows Aaron Stamm/Coach and Holy Cross' Rachel Lantry/player. Again congrats to both and also the winners in the 3 different Div. of the NKAC.

Boone- Nell Fookes (won 9th region with only one senior, and started 2 frosh)

and player i would have to say Joana Switzer... she was Boone County's 6th man and she had a huge shot in the Holy Cross game to tie it with just 20 seconds left.

The 16th Region POY was Brandi Rayburn of West Carter, the COY was Hager Easterling of East Carter.

To erase any confusion.

 

Brooke and Coach Sosby of Bourbon County was the 10th Region Coaches Association POY and COY. Each 10th region school has one vote to cast.

 

Brooke and Coach Buser of Mason County was the KABC 10th Region POY and COY. Each member of the KABC that designates themselves as associated with a 10th region school can cast a ballot. KABC takes membership from MS, elementary coaches and almost anyone willing to pay the membership fee as well as turn in their ballots. A lot more votes will be cast in this selection.
