November 18, 201411 yr Does jail really make sense in this case? If the goal is money it makes zero sense. This would purely be for punishment. There's no good answer. I see it down there all the time and for every guy who's just dodging out, there's another guy who did something he didn't fully understand when he was a kid and now can never get ahead of the game. We've actually rigged the system so that being honest about your income and paying your "fair share" can be used against you by the other parent who then hides their own income (or avoids having any) in order to maintain or increase support payments. I could go on and on all day about the disaster of family court, but there are no good answers, just people with problems that nobody can sort out. The system tries its best to keep the people out of jail that might turn it around and manages as best as it can the people who won't.

Telling ya...when that cat on the streets told the news reporter what TYB stood for, plus when the news reporter corrected the young woman's pronunciation/understanding of "infamous", I fell out.
