Not a game to be overlooked, both Butler and Ballard have quietly progressed in the 2014 season and find themselves battling to advance to the State Semi-finals. Both teams suffered only two losses this season came at the hands of Manual and Male.

Ballard is running the ball well. I believe Coach J said before the seson started that B was installing a new offense and that he was expecting it to take a while for it to ripen. Well, it is ripe now apparently. I learned today that one of B's backs is the brother of Daylen Dawkins and weighs 250 pounds. The other good back is David Daniels. I would not be surprised if B makes it to the championship game, Butler, Simon Kenton and Dixie Heights notwithstanding.

I like Butler here. Coach Wheeler has quietly got the Bears gunning for their third regional title in four seasons. If they can grab a early lead I like their defense to hold Ballard to under 10 points.

We saw last year what a difference northern ky football and Louisville football makes. Butler dominated the game. Either way if SK wins they lose to either Ballard or Butler.

It was 29-7 in the fourth qtr. And since when does S teams not part of the game? The speed difference in the game was a mile wide and Butler wasn't that great of a team last season.

I wish this game could be part of a double-header at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
