I would be embarrassed to be considered a small school....Scott HS, shame on you. Put your big boy pants on.

 

Lets see.....SK, Dixie, Boone, Ryle, Conner, and Campbell County are all bigger than Scott. Beechwood, NCC, LLoyd, Newport, and Holy Cross are all smaller than Scott. Holmes and Highlands have similar enrollments. Highlands plays big school, Holmes plays small school. So lets do the math....6 schools bigger+Highlands playing big school. 4 schools smaller plus Holmes. Where do you think Scott fits?? Don't they fall on the small school side based on enrollment?? They either end up the largest small school or the smallest big school (not counting Highlands, and would you really want to see them playing the small schools?).

If thats the case, allow New Cath and Beechwood to play up. It makes no difference. Scott pretty much plays a small school varsity schedule also, outside of district.

The schedule argument gets old too. The team just clinched their first ever back to back winning seasons in the history of the school. A program that's never won a playoff game, or more than 7 games in any one season. When the schedule was put together 3 years ago, who should they have been playing based on where the program was?? Holy Cross had just won a state title. Newport and Holmes had consistently, if not always beat them. Mason County has always been a solid team. The one bad game is Aiken. Next year they have Dixie, SK, and Connor on their schedule, all larger schools, plus NCC. Will that be good enough??

This really more like a medium sized school championship.
