Fox Creek Christian opened the high school season successfully with a JV win against Hearts for Christ from Louisville, 50-26. Fox Creek was lead by Sophomore pg Daniel Whalen with 12 points, Freshman 2 guard McClain Reed with 11 who had three 3 point baskets in a row during the 2nd quarter, and Sophomore power forward Zack Rice with 10. The Knights went a little stagnant on offense in the 2nd half and especially the 4th quarter as they rotated several 8th graders in and switched the lineups around. The Knights' next game with be Saturday at Wesley Christian.

No...we play a lot of those teams and KCSAA teams, but as for us we are independent and dont belong to an organization. Posted schedule in the breakroom earlier, should still be there somewhere.

KHSAA bylaws prohibit this, and evidently the bylaw has been expanded this year to cover scrimmages from what I am being told, but I have not found that out officially yet. We have scrimmages KHSAA schools in the past at preseason scrimmage events...to include Bath County twice and Berea. we may not even be able to do that this year, but I'm hoping someone gave me some erroneous information.

I believe Daniel Whalen used to play rec league in Mercer County. I remember him being a nice athlete with a competitive streak that I loved. You say he is a sophomore so I believe that is him. He is a year older than my son. How is he doing?

Hey wireman I emailed you a copy of our schedule for our "Blue" team. Our "Red" team competes in the KCAA and our "Blue" team plays more of a National schedule.

He's doing well. Will be my starting point guard on jv and varsity both...not sure yet how I'm going to do that and not wear him flat out, but going to come up with something. He's very competitive, just smaller than a lot of kids his age but makes up for that with his quickness. He's a good kid.
