That is a heart warming story and all... but it still doesn't add up to the 5* UK Recruit touted as a once in a generation player.

 

Once again I am on the Sindelair bandwagon...especially if Harris misses 2 or 3 more games.... but let's call it what it is..the small school kid going to Purdue from rural WKY is at an obvious disadvantage to the All-American with his name in the CJ and LHL every week.

 

If Harris comes back this week I can see him still winning and it wouldn't surprise me. For me personally I'm leaning Sindelar at this point because Harris has been out.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if Harris won Mr. Football without playing again this season.

 

I do also think with the Harris injury that Sindelar's chances to win improved a whole lot.

Harris will win it, even if he doesn't play another down! The #1 running back in the nation will be too hard to pass up for the voters. The only way Sindelair gets it is by winning the 2A championship and I don't see that happening. Most of the state doesn't even know where Caldwell County is located. It's way way over in Western Kentucky. Harris is a household name to the voters of Mr. Football.

"Should" is the key word. It does hurt when it comes to getting the name recognition necessary to win the award. Harris has a huge advantage in that regard.
