OPOY....

Featured Replies

St Henry, Boone, Conner, Simon Kenton, Holmes, Dixie... all good teams, though none in the Maher top 25. My point was NOT that Ballow was only scoring on weak teams. It was that 8/12 goals were in games where CCH still wins even if you take his goals out. Twelve goals isn't a shockingly high number of goals to score for a striker and when they are not critical goals that type of production isn't OPOY level. Again... it's not a knock on Ballow... I think I said he's a very nice player and important to the CCH offense.

Ballow is a very nice player. It's time to take him off this thread and move on. It's high school soccer, some players score high, some don't. Some schools have 4 or 5 mercy games, others have a far tighter schedule. Some players get the ball touched to them a lot so can score easily, others have to do all the work, but strong defenders knock them back. People really have to keep it real on here...

Is that the requirement? How many goals did Mr. O'brien score against top 25 teams?

And again, I am not arguing for Ballow for OPOY. Mr. O'Brien is a fine choice. Just questioning some of Sir!'s arguments which were maybe not well thought out. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that's all it is at this point.

0... which I think is the same # as Ballow. The difference is that Ballow may well get another shot on Tuesday! That's a great opportunity and probably means more than any individual NKAC honors. Go NKY! And that's my last post... promise.

Now with that I can agree.

OTB... If people would have bought into your CCH/Germany theory, and how I wanted to apply it to determine the best players in NKY... we could have avoided all of this.
