Warren Central has two dandy players in Nick Britt and Jeremy Anderson. Warren Central's inside presence is not as stong as it used to be.

 

Mason County has two primary players in Micah Turner and Darius Miller. They are the heart of this team. As only a freshman, Middleton has consistently played well and will improve Mason's chances.

I'm just glad that Brock Whitney doesn't have any eligibility left.

 

I guess Chris Lofton, Grutza, Whitney, Dewalt, and Maresca aren't going to walk through that door.... But I bet it'd still be a heck of a game even today.

Watched plenty of Warren Central this past week, and I can tell you there best feature is running the floor and that diamond and chaser full court pressure D. There starting line up consists of Jeremey Anderson, a 6'2 Junior that can drain the 3 as well as anyone in KY. Nick Britt who in my opinion is the heart of this team. His hustle in the regional tournament could not be surpassed by anyone else. Then they have Joe Hood and Quentin Curry I believe starting at the fowards, and then you have T.J Woodard at Center. While he's no Dewalt he can still jump and grab boards and has a nice inside game. Without a doubt this team isnt the same caliber of the '04 championship team... but I do expect them to do great things against Mason Co.

I'll take the Royals by 3. Turner and Millers are the heart and sole. But, young Russell Middelton will be the deciding factor as he was in the Region finals. He made a believer in me this past week.

This could be a great game. Two great programs. But I think the Middleton, Miller combination will be what makes the difference. Mason County by 2.

Who would have thought it: The people more familiar with Warren Central think they're going to win, the people more familiar with Mason County think they're going to win. I guess we'll really just have to see on Thursday....

I am familiar with both teams. I think the game will be a dandy and I expect both teams to be back next year. Both teams are obviously well coached and Tourny hardened. I think Anderson will be the difference. He is big game player that can score from anywhere on the court. He has a knack of being hot when it counts.

I am going to say this one comes down to a last second shot. Last team to have the ball wins.

Warren Central will win this game by 10+.I think MC is a little to young to pull off the win in Rupp.

They have three players with good height. I couldn't tell you their exact heights, but starting senior center T.J. Woodard is the tallest and thickest, at about 6'5" and around 200 pounds. Avery Driver is 6'4-6'5" and has been a starter at points, but is usually one of the first men off of the bench. He is not as big as Woodard in weight. Mike Fields is around the same height as the other two, but is used more sparingly. He started several games in a row towards the end of season. He's more effective on the defensive end than anywhere. Any minutes he steals are a plus.

 

I'd expect Miller to have the advantage over any of them. He sounds to me to be more athletic. I think the problem for Mason more comes with the depth of the Dragons and the shooting ability. It should be interesting.
