Conner vs Cooper (JV)

Featured Replies

I have read a lot about the Cooper and Conner varsity game and the Cooper Faithful believe its an easy win for the Jags. What about the JV squads? Can the Cougars JV squad get its first win? I read in a Beechwood Conner JV post from last week that Conner has some real good JV players (18-Greenlee, 88- Shepard, 21-Garnett, and the QB #11 Berlew(?), #58- Beach, and #25 Claypool. ). Do the Cougars have a chance? What's the Cooper JV squad look like?

I think you need to re-read what the Cooper fans have said. I don't think any of them claimed tonight's game to be an easy win, but whatever self motivation you have to use I understand.

A few thought it would be lopsided(44-26). One thought Cougars would not score 3 TDs, but my question was about the JV? Can they get their first win? What is Cooper JV like?

Cold morning for JV ball.

Great football weather!

As far as what to expect, I can't voucher for Cooper as never seen the JV play this year yet.

I said I would be stunned if Conner put up MORE than 3 TD's against the Jags D. (And I nailed it, right?) Never once implied that Cooper would win, did I? It's an intense rivalry, impossible to predict really.

Cookies at the JV game too. Throw in some hot chocolate and I'm there! At a 4th grade game right now! 8am start! Love it!

I got called into work this morning so I know there was definitely a crisp in the air. Fall is finally here.

Cooper won 34-0. Was not there, but was posted on Twitter

Wow!!! That does not look well for the Cougars team for the future. That one shocked me. I thought Cooper would win because I think next years Varsity team will be something special, but never thought they'd win by that margin.

Usually looking a JV team is a way to possibly judge the future, in this case I don't think you can judge Conner's future off a JV game. From what I understand Conner's Varsity team is mostly sophomores and juniors who start. Which is very similar to I believe Coopers varsity who starts mostly sophomores and juniors. I wish I would have chose to go to last night's game instead of SK and Campbell. It should be quite a war the next few years at the varsity level the next few years, with both teams being so young.

Conner's varsity starters are made up of 4 Seniors, 9 juniors and 9 Sophomores.
