If CCH would have made an appearance Fri Nite against HHS then they would have a legit argument, but seeing how they decided not to play anything resembling football I have to give the nod to SK.

I wouldn't say that. I'm fine with HHS being 1, but I wouldn't say there couldn't be any debate. SK is still undefeated and have a right for some to think they may be the best. Not as far fetched as you claim it to be,

The debate is fair. SK has played a terrible schedule so we simply do not know how good they really are. Any vote to put them at 1 or 2 is simply speculation. How do we know?

The problem with those 2 teams is the same as Scott. They don't play anyone before district games start and then in district they more often than not lose as soon as they play a half decent team. For instance, NCC was winless until Friday where they beat Lloyd 28-0

 

Can't speak for Lloyd who still has Dayton and Pendleton on the schedule, but shame on you Walton for dropping early program opponents Dayton, Berea, Ludlow, Brossart, and Eminence. Shame on you for picking up a Louisville school that won 20 games in two previous years and lost to Mayfield in the regional final. Shame on you for signing Holmes, shame on you for signing a 5A school you were previously 0-3 against, and shame on you for signing 2009 state champion Lexington Christian. How pathetic is big school Boone Co football that Ryle, Conner, and Boone Co fans are now using the, "we're better than Walton," slogan as their moniker? Walton will be tough out, this is their best team yet. They have a very sound defense, their line and QB are very solid, Compton is a work horse, and Latimore is one of the best players in Northern Kentucky. Stay healthy, improve every week, and prove your worth, but "lack of scheduling" is not the issue.

Nowhere in the post did I indicate Walton should be ranked, let alone ahead of Boone schools or Newport. Find it amusing certain individuals take pot shots at Walton when they have a very fine team and their schedule improved at every cycle. They need to improve their resume so they are a more attractive out of district opponent for a Beechwood or NCC. Walton has not done enough yet, but heading in the right direction.
