Mark Fothergill inducted into 12th. Region Hall of Fame

Featured Replies

Mark is probably the best player to play for the Briar Jumpers. He went on to play at Maryland where he was a three starter for the Terps. His son Dustin is arguably the best player in the 12th Region.

I remember Fothergill quite well from playing in the Ashland Invitational Tournament. He was a real pleasure to watch. :thumb:

Congratulations Mark! He's a great guy.

I watched him play a couple of times in High School and he was a very good player at Maryland, that understood his role.

Class man and well deserved honor.

Mark was Selected by the Phoenix Suns in the 8th round (#174 pick overall) of 1984 NBA Draft.

Had the pleasure of being at BB camp with Mark in the mid to late 70's, he had already graduated from HS and was playing at Maryland. He was at the Transy Camp as a guest instructor. He is a really class guy.

Ask any Ralph Sampson fan. I don't think they were to fond of Mark.
