Yes, unfortunately I am all too aware of that. It's stupid to have some pre-conceived idea of when the First Teams should come out. You know when the game is in-hand and there's no need for the First Team Offense or Defensive to be out there with a 40+ point lead.

For me, it would depend on the opponent. Against Franklin County, I definitely keep my defense out there even with a running clock until the fourth quarter. Against Holy Cross, I pull the starters one possession into the second half. Even if the running clock happened in the first half and I may have used subs in the first half, I let my first teamers play one possession each at the start of the second half. I think it is good for the first team to come out of halftime and play even in a blowout.

We know Beechwood is improved (older) than last year. Holmes has a decent QB and a couple of good receivers. That said I expect a similar spread to last year (40-7). So Beechwood by 33-40 points!

The guy tries to so something good, spends his time to give a good insight, and you rip him because he omits a player or two that you favor? Let's see you write up. Thanks for your hard word Eye, those of us non saddle club folks that only get to make a game or two appreciate you.

For one, I've never been in the Saddle Club, and yes, maybe the multiple question marks at the end of the sentence were a bit over the top. I appreciate the write ups, good stuff, I guess I was looking for recognition for two young men that I think is overdue. I don't favor any player on the team as I don't have a dog in the fight, just wanted to point out a few more than the obvious.

You could pick from about 15 guys that make serious contributions to the Tiger team. The good thing is that the boys all support each other. I'm really liking the camaraderie displayed by this team. Maybe we could all learn something from them!
