I am not saying it's a huge factor but I do believe it can help or hurt you. Was at the Cov Cath New Cath game and CC had a great fan base that I believe can get into players heads. Does that same group travel to away games?

Yes, they are factors, I agree with you. My point is that every team is not necessarily tailored to play best on it's home field so home/away losses as they relate to ranking points are just overrated. You may have a wide/long turf field (Ryle) but that may not suit your style or a short/narrow grass field (Cooper) that doesn't suit your style, it depends on the team. Just speaking for our team, CCH plays better at some away venues than at home. St. Henry's large, nice, grass field for example suited them very well.

 

And I'd say rarely do fans influence a game that much in soccer.

They were at the HHS game....

 

I love the energy and creativity the student section brings to the game. The "Batman" razing the CCH student section kept giving the ball boy on their side at the HHS game may have been intimidating (apparently he was wearing Batman socks). But not sure it affected the outcome on the field.

I agree that it doesn't always suite the home team the best..... I just looked at riherds and saw where Brossart plays really good at home but Ncc has not won a game on their home field, I think u may be on to something.

I think both Cooper, and CCH, are good examples of what you are saying. Cooper for speed, and CCH for possession, both would benefit from playing at fields that are larger than their home field.

You'd have to have an actual NCC fan that attended weigh in on the game to know what happened, apparently none were there so that's why we are discussing the rankings. The Ryle/St. Henry thread is a good example where people at the game are giving their take on it. It's hard to discuss when not one person who was there has mentioned it.

Any details about the game. It has evolved into a discussion about a meaningless rating system.
