My friend was hitting with a warrior in BP about a month ago and his Warrior cracked on him. He pulled out his receipt and sent the bat back to Louisville Slugger and they sent him a brand new Dynasty. Pretty good deal eh?

Most companies offer replacement and some type of warranties on the bats.

Far too often, a player will leave his bat in a vehicle where it becomes exposed to vast temperature changes, both cold and hot. This can have an effect on the alloy, as does not cleaning the bat.

If a pebble, or granule becomes attached to the bat and makes contact with the baseball during BP, it can dent the barrel or even cause hairline cracks, that will result in failure....with the costs of bats today, a player should wipe down his bat with a towel, after every 5 swings or so, to eliminate foreign debris on the bat or from the baseball, effecting the conditioning of the bat.

Most teams will also use baseballs that are old or become hard, which result in the bat getting flat or dents....Anytime your bat becomes defective, inquire about returning it immediately, all they can say is no and reputation will go along way to getting it replaced from the manufacturer.

I remember my freshman year we was playing in a tournment and I broke a Gen 1 X pretty much in half. The barrel when flying toward the 3rd baseman and I kinda stood there with the handle in my hand shocked and then I threw it done and started running to first. Needless to say I got a single out of it. Thats not the only time I've witnessed that same bat break.

I remember in 2003 when Somerset hosted the Regional Baseball Tournament, Cole Draughn from Pulaski County hit a double down the line. After the next batter picked up the bat, you could clearly see that the bat had literally shattered and was broken open. This bat was also a GEN 1 X.
