I assume that this was coached and refereed like a normal game- in saying that, seems like a bit of an under performance by Russell IMO.

I heard it was a 10 play / 10 play type of scrimmage and Lawrence dominated.

 

Anyone here see this scrimmage?

I heard that 3 of Lawrence county td's was scored on Russell's second team defense. I also heard the starters were about even.

Do you know how long the starters played?

 

Did Lawrence keep their starters in after Russell pulled theirs? Or did the Bulldog 2's score on the Russell 2's

Not sure how long the starters played. Russell was without 2 starters Suman and Smith I think as well. I'm not sure if Lawrence pulled their starters after Russell pulled theirs. I wasn't there just what I heard.

It will be interesting to see how Russell comes together in time for the playoffs.

There are a lot of interesting stories in 3A this season, and quite a few of them involved new coaching staffs. Russell is definitely one of them.

They both looked good I thought. Obviously, Lawrence a bit better, but Russell w/ their new system (literally) looked good. As for the Bulldog nation....Louisa is going to be rockin' this fall I believe..

 

Russell's field looked to be struggling as are many across the state.

Here's hoping both teams have "Up" years this season.

 

Been hearing really good things about Lawrence County. Think LC, Pike Central, and Russell are all three teams in that 10-15 range of the class.

It was hard to tell who were ones and who were twos for both teams...both teams sub alot and I still give LC the edge. Is it from learning a new offense for the devils or just LC might be a little bit better. They both do need work still. Both Defenses were a little soft up the middle at times.
