Also, some teams elect not to kickoff....I'm not sure why. But some do that.

I had a man tell me that he had talked to some of the Raceland kids, had went to watch a few of the practices and was VERY Impressed. He told me that it certainly was ran in a top notch fashion. All of the kids were working extremely hard and it certainly seemed that all had bought in. Was very pleased with Coach Salmons and staff and aside from the graduation losses that it seemed business as usual in Ram Land, not missing a beat. NO slack off in coaching.

As I coached a bit during team camp, I was also very pleased with the effort and focus they put out. They're hungry for more and I can't wait to watch them each and every Friday night. West Carter coming up this Friday. Focus on your job and trust your teammates.

I wish the season would hurry and get here. I was going to get to watch quite a few Friday nights but recent changes in my job have moved me to 2nd shift and I may be lucky to catch a few games now which sucks. But good luck to all the teams in the state and I still would love to see a Hazard vs Raceland match up.

That may just happen. Raceland has another chance to play in the semis this year. I believe we can make it to the regional championship game again. The story will change though, we would have to play Pikeville at Pikeville this year. Raceland has never won at Pikeville so it's a hard subject matter right now to talk about. But we have West Carter to worry about Friday!
