Could very well be but even if it's a subtle shot I see it more as a "hey kid, you need to put in the work to succeed". More if a message then anything. At the end of the day they want the QB that's gonna give them the best shot at winning.

So by having bad QB's in the past you're saying that they can't have the mindset of wanting the QB that's gonna help them win? That's ridiculous.
