Paris 2014/2015

Featured Replies

Basketball season for 2014/2015 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Paris. Remember, please be constructive.

Hounds finished 3 games under .500 last year, but will return leading scorer (16.5) & rebounder (6.1) Koebe Garrard. Garrard is a junior, has a very strong build, & also is very athletic. That combination makes him difficult to guard. Paris loses its #2 scorer from last year in Cameron Downey, but point guard James Clark will be back (a junior). Sophomore-to-be swingman Jekobi Wells impressed me both times I saw him last year. I look for a significant increase in production from him. Jawan & Jawane Dumphord, both juniors, will give added backcourt depth. Jamaal Washington will likely be the top senior on the team & also plays guard. Another senior, William O'Bryan, will give Coach Brooks needed frontcourt presence.

If I had to guess now, I would label Paris as the favorite to win the 10th Region Class "A" Tournament. Several teams have a shot at winning, but I see Paris as having the most talent & depth on paper.

This is the kid returning that impressed me most last year for Paris.

They most definetly have the most talent, just don't think they win it this year

Paris had a legit shot at the All A until RP picked them. :lol2:

They had a hard time last season handling the press in the few games I saw them in.

Garrard apparently didn't play during June due to some type of meniscus injury. Anybody know about this? I only know they struggled without him June.

This is the first I've heard of it, but I have also been way out of the loop this summer. Sure hope he mends quickly.

Augusta and Fleming beat them in summer ball was told. Point guard is an issue besides not having Garrard
