This is a nice event, big thanks to Dixie and there staff for hosting, to Kevin Rendgering for finding sponsors, doing pa, for getting it organized , thanks for all 8 umps that donated time and I know many more offered, thanks to all the players who seemed to get along so great, hope this event continues, I wish more coaches would show up for this event , there was many there but also quite a few missing, I hope this event continues to grow and the money at the gate goes to an outstanding organization in special Olympics, missed the Lawnboy, I'm sure he was there is spirit, thanks to all again.

Could not agree more, this is a great event. Even though this year quite a few girls were unable to attend, this gave some of the girls from the smaller schools the opportunity to play a lot more innings, on what could be considered the "biggest stage" of the their softball careers. Many of these girls do not make it to the All "A" State tourney or the 9th Region tourney, so this game is especially special. Kevin has done a wonderful job organizing this event and thanks to the umpires for donating their time. I'm sure the coaches not in attendance had good reasons for missing.

 

As long as Mother Nature cooperates, it certainly will. proceeds go to a very worthy cause. :thumb:

 

Kevin was sending me updates from the booth last night, plus getting updates from a few other dad's. Taylor was "bummed" that she could put on her NewCath uniform just one more time and be on the field with the girls she has played, with and against, for the last 4 years. I think it was harder on me not to see her on the field for the last time.:cry:

Great event!! I was glad to see the girls from surrounding regions invited also. Our group from Campbell enjoyed the event and represented themselves very well.

 

I would also like to add I was very impressed with the girl from NewCath. Not seen many catchers bust it down the 1st base line to back up throws to first at the high school level...... well at most levels. Also, seemed to carry a nice bat, had a nice smack off the left field fence.

 

Thank you to the organizers of this event. The wait was worth it!!

You are right Charlie Hustle-Kristen Schreiber is an outstanding player.

 

Good softball is played all over the state for sure. Campbell County is no exception to this.
