May 12, 201412 yr Marty is arrogant but no one calls a big play better. He's the best pbp announcer I've ever heard. Not a fan of Thom unless it's a national game. I think Welsh and Brantley give great insight into a pitchers thought process. Grande just talks too much. Don't need all of it when game is on tv. Joe, God rest his soul, was not great but I sure miss his voice and his clear love of the game. Never be another.
May 12, 201412 yr Agree about Casey - feels like a giggle fest and nickname dropping the whole broadcast. I might be in the minority on this one but I don't think the Cowboy is a great announcer either. He has improved but still says too many goofy things and talks about ice cream, barbecue, etc. Seems like he just tries to be a clown at times. Agree completely. I am sure Casey is a super nice guy but the giggling is very annoying.
