This sale is going to be interesting in that the NBA would love the symbolism of a black majority owner buying what Donald Sterling viewed as his "plantation." I do, however, agree that it will be a case of "blacks welcomed, but no gangstas allowed." On another related tangent, I wonder if Jay-Z could transcend that and be a majority owner in the NBA post-Sterling. I gotta believe that Silver will use this as a way to crack down on the league's roughneck element.

They state his career earnings at $373million,...but his net worth, at only $200 million. Somehow, I don't think that's going to be enough.
