I agree with YOUR DADDY with regard to Ammons play. He has proved he can handle the ball against the pressure either off the dribble or with the pass. He is IMO a better passer than Harris simply because he sees the floor better. After all he will prove out to be the best quarterback in the state of Kentucky next year. I'm not saying I don't like M Harris as a player, but there have been many times this year that his ability to go one on one have turned into one on five which results in the other four players standing and watching him. The Flyers are not at their best when this happens. The Flyers are a much better team when there is ball movement.

 

It is unfortunate that Harris's high school basketball career is over but it is only due to chioces that he made. Hopefully he will learn from his mistakes and get on the right track.

 

I think it was great Matt was still on the bench supporting his teamates, and I don't know if anyone else noticed but K. Ammons was wearing a wristband with the number 4 on it in support of his teamate and friend Matt Harris.

 

The panthers have alot to be proud of as they played a great game. Matt Anderson is an example that every young aspiring basketball player should follow. He has always quietly gone about his business never whining complaining or making excuses. His work ethic is unmatched and he can flat out shoot the basketball. I know that everyone at Franklin County has the utmost respect for him and are pulling for him to get an opportunity at the next level. Good luck Mr. Anderson!!!!

Great ballgame to watch. It was a shame that either team had to lose. That's what makes district tournaments so fun to follow. Great job to both teams!

Franklin County will be the favorite again next season. The graduate 6, but they have seven juniors who saw significant time on varsity, their JV went undefeated in district play, and their Freshmen also won the district this season.

 

Ammons. . . turnover city. . . are you kidding? You haven't watched him play lately. He rarely turns the ball over, handles pressure extremely well, and never runs out of gas. Not having Harris hurt them in the scoring column, but not ball handling.

 

 

Ofcourse he is a great ball handler when no one is guarding him or putting pressure on him.

I guess you didnt watch the game to close. FHS couldn't press. They where only playing 7 guys. They where exhausted. ZED Smith was giving everything he had and his tank was on empty. FHS Should be proud they laid it on the line.

 

FCHS played hard and their experience paid off down the stretch.
