Yale Threatens to Kick Out Student for Being Too Thin??

Exactly this topic is something people on both sides of the aisle can get behind. School adminstrators lack common sense.

Yep. Let's lump a different group all together. :lol2:

From what I read, this is only this woman's account of the situation. HIPPA won't allow the hospital to comment. I have worked in a hospital for over 30 years. My guess is there is a big piece missing from this story.

I'm not sure there is a side to the story that gives the university the right to tell a person how much they should weigh.

Again, no one except this woman says this claim is true.

Oh, so she's lying....Gotcha.

"Chan’s problems with the Ivy League school began back in September, when she went to Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven to have a breast lump checked. Though the lump was benign, it led to Yale Health, the student health center, scrutinizing her general health and, in particular, her low weight.

...

“Yale Health's Medical Director in email to my father: ‘She does not have the option of refusing to cooperate with our assessment of her health and safety.’"

Not unlike the poor CT girl who is a prisoner of the State of Massachusetts it started with a hospital visit.

Isn't Yale in Massachusetts? Seems to be a pattern.

Yale is located in New Haven, CT.

Yale is located in New Haven, CT.

That will teach me not to check. It's Harvard that is in Boston.
