9th region officiating has been terrible all year long. they are very inconsistant for any team the ref.

In the Beechwood\Holmes game Holmes shot 38 free throws to BW 12. I am sorry but no one team fouls that much more than their opponent.

Did anyone else think that the block that gave NC the lead with less than a minute a no doubt charge?

It was obviously a charge. Newport doesn't get any calls except for in football. And the first three fouls were on James Thomas, all by the same ref. It seemed like it killed him to call a foul on NC.

NCC will make it to the region, maybe to the regional semifinals. They play 5 players and almost lost Bueter tonight. He had 4 fouls with about 3 minutes to go in regulation. If he fouls out I really can't see NCC breaking any kind of a press. Dietzl starts five players and sticks with them until the bitter end and will play a sub for possibly a minute or two in the game. NCC was tired. Great game though and congrats to NCC - moving on! :thumb:

That seems to be NewCath's MO. They never go deep, though they could. Keeps some guys from playing.
