I disagree with your opinion Pat Dad! Apparently you haven't followed grade school basketball in the previous few years.

#1 Carr Creek defeated JBS in the 2005 14th Region Middle School tournament to win the tournament.

#2 Carr Creek took their grade school team to the 2005 State Middle School Tournament and made it to the Elite 8. Had Josh Huff not been seriously ill the Indians would definitely vied for the championship.

#3 June Buchanan played in the same 2005 State Tournament, but made it only to the Sweet Sixteen.

#4 Both Tate Cox and Stuart Stamper made the 2005 All-State Tournament Team last year.

#5 Carr Creek also defeated the June Buchanan team last year in the Knott County Basketball Tournament.

#6 The Carr Creek players have played with Brent Hall in baseball and basketball and basketball and Tate Cox in Baseball. We respect each other and each other's talents. The things that we don't appreciate are the recruiting tactics of the JBS officials. (Sorry Guru and moderator - I just had to say it!)

#7 We all know that Brent Hall would have played at KCC had he not been left at Knott Central and the Middle School after not having been notified of cancelled practice.

#8 When we get the entire Knott County grade school players, Knott Central will be tough. Remember that Hindman defeated June Buchanan in the 2006 Knott County Basketball Tournament. We plan to win and will indeed do so. Hopefully all of our players will remain with the Red, White and Blue. Loyalty Goes a long way!!!!

#9 Who knows where these players will be next year. Many rumors are abound of June Buchanan and Knott Central players leaving for GREENER Pastures. Who Knows?????????????

#11 Remember everyone-------Grade School and High School Athletics(Football, Baseball, Volleyball, Tennis, Softball, Cheerleading, Dance, and especially both girls' and boys' basketball has nothing to do with the parents , but everything with teaching the players good sportsmanship and love for the games!)

Bleed Blue not starting anything but you need to get out of your gradeschool stuff and grow up I mean im just saying this is high school ball you don't need to be comparing it with gradeschool ball....and im going to say JBS will own KCC for the next 4-5 years because its going to be a one man show the whole time and I think everyone knows who im talking about, and about the other gradeschool players coming up next year half of them will not come to KCC because of all that going on with the KCC program!!!!!!!!

It looks like all players will be returning to JBS for next year. I think too much is made of this hatred between the two schools. I dont think it is a problem between the kids but a problem between a few adults. There is no reason the two schools cant coincide together to bring attention to how good basketball can be in all county schools including Cordia.

JBS will start working in a couple of weeks for next years season and it will not be to get better than KCC but to get better than the whole 14th region. JBS will definitely be the #1 preseason ranked team in the 14th for next year .

THese kids work extremely hard and they could have something special happen there over the next few years.

Honeycutt was not fired, he resigned. The KCC program is in shambles, it has been for about 5 or 6 years. We keep changing coaches almost every year and nothing seems to change. The problem lies upstairs with the administration. And the talk now is the current coach Feltner is on his way out, and someone in the administration is going to take over. KCC has became a soap opera and until they clean house and get rid of some of the administration, it will remain a joke!!!
