Bracken Co/Newport Central Catholic Predictions

As of now it looks like Mother Nature will cooperate and the 2014 Season for these two teams will go off as scheduled tomorrow at 5:30 at Bartlett Field in Newport. The Breds new home field at Newport Vets #2 is not ready at this point. The fence is in place, but a few other things need to be addressed before games can be played on it.

 

The Breds return 9 starters back from last season and the Polar Bears return their entire starting line-up from last seasons 19-15 campaign. Both teams won their District tourneys and both were ousted in the 1st game of the their respective regional tourney.

 

The Breds will be without starting pitcher Sarah Neace, 3rd basemen Loren Zimmerman, & shortstop Michaela Ware who are taking the 1st week of the season off following the NewCath basketball season.

 

The Breds will have to find a way to get to Bracken Co. pitcher Emma Conley early.

 

The BIG question is......will Randy Parker have the guts to show his face and root on his beloved Polar Bears?

Good thing this is being played in Newport and not in Brooksville. We've gotten nearly two inches of snow within the last couple of hours lol.

I think that could be a lot for NCC to overcome. Will be a chance for some younger girls to show what they have as well. I will take our fellow district mates in a score of 7-5!!

The way she has been throwing in the off season I would say yes, but Jr. Sarah Neace will get her fair share as well. Plus there is that "secret weapon" who can be called on just in case. :lol2:
