Hope SK comes out and plays tough. If they shoot well they should win this one.

They played once this season and Oldham won.

Should be another physical game, meaning free throws will be important. Both teams really struggled at the line on Friday in semi-final "free throw shootouts". (weird night: SK, Shelby, Oldham, and Henry ALL had bizarre FT shooting nights on Friday)

Kuntz really played well for SK against Shelby, and Morrison was his usual sharpshooting self. Oldham got a huge lift from their bench after getting in foul troubles against Henry County (3 players fouled out) as the bench delivered 27 points.

Since SK joined the 8th Region in 2005-6, the two teams have split 10 games with Oldham winning 3 of the last 4, including 72-65 in Buckner on 2-7-14. Stats from that game:

* Oldham County had four players reach double figures.

* Tyler Morrison led SK with 19 points, but hit just 6 of 19 shots

* SK outrebounded OC by 8, but Oldham got to the line more as SK was plagued by foul problems, and the Colonels converted 75% of their FTs

* After leading by 1 at intermission, SK pulled out to a 48-39 lead after three and appeared to have the game well in hand before succumbing to Oldham's pressure in the fourth, when Oldham County outscored the Pioneers, 33-17. The Colonels hit 8 of 14 shots from the floor in the fourth, including 2 of 3 beyond the arc.

* turnovers were a huge story: Simon Kenton 20, Oldham County 6

This one should be a lot of fun. Both teams with reasonable aspirations of winning the region.

Broadcast live on the Pegasus Sports Network. The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN Tip approximately 8 - 8:15 pm.

(Broadcast will also be archived indefinitely)

Mike, you always do a great job on the broadcast! Should be great final four in Henry Co. I think Oldhams pressure WILL bother SK. Last couple of years OC has been a real good FT shooting team they need to shoot them well to win.

Apparently their pressure was key during the regular season victory.

If this game has as many FT's as the last game, I may be late for work on Tuesday.
