Pendleton's Loss to Mason--Good or Bad??

Featured Replies

I think Middleton for Mason was hobbled with a bad hamstring also, but seemed to play and play well. Still think this was a "good loss" for Pendleton!!

He didn't looked hobbled to me.

Middleton was a step slow; never even tried to take the ball to the basket.

Pendleton will regroup and not overlook Harrison County.

Yes he was it was his 1st return back in 2weeks and he didnt start.Davis did play some minutes though. The 2 guys that filled in for him though had decent games. So that was the difference.

Middleton may have not started, but if he was hobbled he wouldn't have been in the game. A player who has been out awhile typically does not start on his return out of respect to the player who has filled in for him.

Davis played less then 3 minutes and never touched the ball when he was in the game. He only came in to give a player a breather. The 2 guys combined that filled in for him did not even come close to Davis's stats. Any PC fans knows since Davis has been out there has been a difference on Offense and Defense.

Davis was the difference in the first game between MC and PC; his absence was the difference last Friday.

Davis has certainly been missed since he has been out but we are greatful to have him back in time for districts!

I hate to see my team lose.....EVER! That being said, I suppose it could be considered a "good loss" in the sense that it didn't really mean a whole heck of a lot......opposed to how horrible a loss on Tuesday would be.

In the past couple of years, when Pendleton has suffered a loss they usually turn around with an 8 or 9 game win streak. If that is the case again this time, then that will take them all the way to the finals of the state torunament. Hopefully Bigg's gets em going like he has been doing. Go Cats!

What was his injury? I thought it was his hand/wrist, and if so was it his shooting or off hand?

his shooting hand...

his shooting hand...

Thanks--Good luck to him as that normally takes a little longer to heal, and get back to normal.

Davis's defense and rebounding was missed more than his shooting. He was always the 5th option on the offensive end. He is 6'4" with a 6'8" reach and can bag around on the boards. His long reach also helps alter shots. Plus PC has another five fouls to give, and makes their bench deeper. TD can only help get this team back on track.

Having Davis out I believe will only help PC. We have four players getting a lot more playing time for the last 3 weeks. Two of these player would not have seen much time at all if it had not been for his absence. PC can go 9 deep if they need to.

I believe this loss with help our team be more focused. There are 6 seniors on this team and they know what it takes to win.

Go PC Wildcats Good luck in the Districts
