February 27, 201412 yr Author I'm saying that the way the laws are now an adults like this one ( Bus driver, teacher, etc....) basically have their hands tied trying to discipline a student. You lay your hands on them in any way, and you just know a lawsuit or discplinary action is on the way. It's a shame, but that's the way it is. You simply can't have any physical contact with them. So in this case if the driver feels threatened by one or two students that probably are physically superior to her she can't defend herself?
February 27, 201412 yr What schools use paddling now? It made a HUGE difference when I was in school. I keep hearing this but not how I remember it. What I remember was the same problem kids getting paddled all the time. Also why does the school have to do it? Shouldn't it be on the parents to paddle their kids when they get home? Wouldn't it accomplish the same thing?
February 27, 201412 yr So in this case if the driver feels threatened by one or two students that probably are physically superior to her she can't defend herself? I absolutely think she should be able to, but will the laws ,courts or her employer stand behind her? That's the scary part. They are put in a no win situation.

It should be on the parents, but I believe the schools should have the authority also because too many parents don't care.

February 27, 201412 yr So what if a parent doesn't believe in spanking their child? I don't believe in evolution, but they teach it at school.
February 27, 201412 yr So what if a parent doesn't believe in spanking their child? You have 2 options, punish the child, and/or punish the parent. Parents are responsible for their kids legally.
February 27, 201412 yr I don't believe in evolution, but they teach it at school. And that's the same how?
February 28, 201412 yr All you have to do is look at the parents of problem children and you see why the kids are like they are. Years ago there weren't that many. Now the world is full of them and they will grow up to be the same as their parents and have kids the same way. Sad world we live in today.
