Paint the picture how ever you like, on the Dixie site it shows a forfeit. You and I both know that Scott County moved the game back a day to give Dixie a chance to play, was still a no-show,,The tournament was still played with bringing Shelby Valley in to plug the hole left by Dixie..

Hence, not a forfeit. Dixie withdrew from the tourney and were replaced by another team. Had it been a forfeit, as you suggest, LaFayette would not have played a first round game. They would have advanced automatically to the second round with a forfeit win.

Thanks for proving my point :)

[h=1]Dixie Heights defeats Clark on senior night[/h]

The George Rogers Clark boys basketball team honored seniors Riley Caudill and Khamarkis Blanton during senior night festivities but Dixie Heights played the spoiler with a 55-41 triumph over the Cardinals Wednesday night at Norton Gymnasium.

One of those bright spots for Clark was the play of Blanton, who paced the Cards with 18 points, including 10 in the first half. Blanton sank a 3-pointer as time expired to end the first quarter that sparked Clark in the first part of the second quarter. Clark overcame an early 8-2 deficit and opened the second frame with a 7-2 run for an 18-17 lead.

Hatton led all scorers with 29 points and made 8 of 9 free throws. He scored 11 in the fourth quarter as the Colonels pulled away down the stretch.

The Cards were within single digits of the guests until the fourth quarter when Hatton took over again and helped seal the deal for the Colonels. Hatton connected on a pair of three-point plays underneath during a 9-0 spree by Dixie Heights in a two-minute span with three minutes remaining that created adequate spacing between the two teams. Led by Hatton, the Colonels outscored Clark 14-6 in the final four minutes for the final margin.

Your obsession with hating on Dixie is nauseating...

Dixie was a no show because the county wouldn't let Dixie attend the game. Not because Dixie didn't want to play.

And as ennam pointed out, their spot was filled therefore does not count as a forfeit (not that I think the opposing coaches would want it to count as a forfeit for Dixie). If you need proof it's not a forfeit please check the KHSAA website that ennam gave you a link to. As I'm sure you are aware since you're the most intelligent poster on this board, the KHSAA is the governing body for Kentucky high school sports (hence the name Kentucky High School Athletic Association). If they aren't showing it as a forfeit maybe you should quit harping on it.

Can we PLEASE talk about the game...

Clark seems like a team that will play you close but they won't beat you.

Offense has been a struggle for us all year. We will have 2 sometimes 3 good quarters. King and Blanton has carried the load most of the year. If/when we put together 4 quarters GRC is not a team I would want to play in the post season. We are under sized and out manned almost every time we step on the court, but still find a way to be there at the end of the game.
