People DO get tattoos for their OWN pleasure, not the pleasure of others... Just because a person has a tattoo, doesn't mean he/she got it for YOU to look at.

How do any of us know? I don't know the girl. It's impossible for anyone to know her reasoning for that specific tattoo without knowing her. Sure you can assume it's for attention, but you know what they say about assuming...

I used to want to get a tatoo(s) really bad when I was younger. My Mom always told me then, "A tatoo is a permanent reminder of a temporary lapse in judgement."

I generally agree with that statement but still kind of want one of my family crest but the majority of tats that I see leaves me with the overwhelming question of, why?:idunno:

Saying someone is starved for attention has a direct connection to the type of person they are. Who knows why she got the tattoo, but I can pretty much guarantee it has some sort of symbolic meaning to her, and like most people, she most likely doesn't care whether you or anyone else understand or "get" that meaning. I've never once met a person who got a tattoo because they wanted attention.

LOL. I want to know what the symbolism of a huge bloody eyeball in the middle of my chest represents. I have definitely met people who got tattoos for attention.
