Raceland's OL/DL Austin Manis has committed to play football at Kentucky Christian University.

Congrats to Austin :thumb: ! Another one of the fine young men from the Raceland Sr. class. Austin is an excellent OL/DL and will be a benefit to KCC as they will to him. Some don't know it but the AD at KCC is a Raceland H.S. Alum, former Ram football player Bruce Dixon. AD Dixon was a lineman for the Rams, graduating in 1976. His 1975 Raceland team was one of the best teams to come out of Raceland as was their line. Manis makes the 5th Ram from this past football season to commit, continue his football carrer in the college game, the 4th lineman from this same group of starting OL/DL at Raeland.

Congrats again Austin....this old Raceland alum along with all of the tight knit "Ram Nation" are very proud of you. I am sure that the parents of this fine young man are proud as well, it is deserved.

I don't know about Austin, but Mac and I couldn't escape the bright orange of Raceland. I guess Austin wanted to see what it was like to wear the 'fowl' color of red. Congrats to Austin! See ya on the field next fall!

Little Ram, I certainly understand your point about those "unspeakable" colors. With Austin pouring his blood, sweat and tears out for the Rams orange and black I believe that we all can overlook this. After all, he is well deserving, will be a great addition to KCC and most importantly, he didn't pick the university colors.

Maybe by the time that Austin Manis leaves KCC they will have changed to orange and black. :idunno::lol2:

You're right oldrambler, I was shook and my view was shadowed by the colors. Getting a great education comes first and KCU is just the place for Manis. Congrats bub. You deserve it.
