Conner 48 Cooper 41

Very good (and much needed) win for Conner. Hopefully, this gets them out of the mid-season lull they seem to have been in. Lamblez led the way for Conner last night.

Disappointed in the Conner JV effort last night, especially since this game was played as a part of the JV Tourney. 26-6 at halftime? Yikes. And it didn't get much better in the second half either.

Good win for Conner but missing in all the posts is the fact that Colin Hathorn picked up a technical foul (which was his 2nd total foul) for apparently hanging on the rim on an attempted put-back dunk off of a fast break midway in the 1st qtr which was an absolute joke as there were no less than 3 players underneath him so he sits the remainder of the half. Then 8 secs into the 3rd he picks up his 3rd foul for barely touching a player off of a trap has to sit the majority of the 3rd. May or may not have changed the outcome but certainly Cooper could have used his inside presence. Again, not an excuse but Cooper could have used him big time inside as the Jags fell in love with the 3-pointer which were not hitting the broad side of the barn.

Congrats to the Cooper JV team as they continued to roll in the JV tourney.

I don't take the above as excuse making. My perception is that Cooper isn't deep especially at the 4/5 position. So any minutes he sits out is detrimental to Cooper and especially against a small Conner team.

I'm confused. Does the number of players underneath him make a difference on whether or not a technical is called?

You're now allowed to hang on the rim unless it's for safety reasons. Players underneath you and their position/proximity are factors in giving or not giving a T. Sixer was emphasizing in his opinion how obvious it was.

A player is allowed to grab the rim and hold on if there is potential for them to get hurt, i.e.: other players under the rim
