Chad is a great official, especially for a young official. You dont see that too often either.

The Ashland bias carries over to officiating also. Rabbit ears are not good attributes of a good official.

I think the focus should be on "Coach" (termed rather loosely) Hicks here. Whether it was Cook or not. Hicks is the poorest excuse of a coach that eastern KY has seen since Dick Fick dawned the blue & gold in his previous life. Hicks does nothing for basketball except for a typical side "freak" show during games. If he coaches, I have always said that it must be during practices, because in the public eye none is done on the sidelines of ANY game I have seen him "coach". I do not know what happens in the GC gym during practice, but it sure does not translate into coaching on the sidelines. I am still trying to figure out how he is an Improvement over Rex Cooksey (previous coach) or better yet Randy Ward!!!

To sum it up, Hicks is Horrible!!! Whether a JV official tossed him or not, Im betting it had something to do with Hicks' everlasting personality.

You couldn't be further from the truth.

Bushleague? Have you ever seen Hicks go nuts? I applaude Chad for doing what the RULES tell you to do. I don't think coaches get tossed enough for for various reasons, but that's a whole other thread in itself. I'm sure Hicks was trying to get into Chad's head and show him up, I'm sure of it. And Chad had the GUTS to toss him, which I'm sure was well deserving. So to say he was trying to make a name for himself is crap, I say he was trying to keep a name he already had. Hicks will walk all over you if you let him and it's good to see an official do the RIGHT thing. Keep up the good work Chad.

Well well well... I think that I have heard this before. I have really close ties with Chad and he said that Hicks personally attacked him by name which should never happen. Chad has got alot of phone calls these last couple of days thanking him for a job well done. By the way, Chad isnt the biggest Ashland fan right now anyways.
