8th & 9th Region Post Season Awards

Featured Replies

Like any other poll... they are not perfect, or very scientific. These are voted on by coaches and it is just their opinion, in most cases they may only see the kids play 1-2 times a year.

It seems to me that the final pole should be what is in question. Highlands was 6th, Brossart was 4th...These were the teams that won the ninth and tenth region crowns.

Looking for 8th region boys and girls. Anyone know?

The coaches pick who they want to recognize off of their own team.

That explains the NCC selections, I am sure it explains many, not always about talent or being top talent. I notice the small A schools always have whoever scored the most goals. Interesting approach.

If you look at the boys soccer offensive and defensive players of the year, you can see how many votes each of them received. 21 voters, that would indicate a pretty good selection of coaches that actually voted for these teams. Again congrats to all of the kids for being nominated and selected!
