Grove success?

Featured Replies

Silver Grove has been pretty successful this season. Has billy miller had a big part of that?

Hard to tell when they don't post stats with KHSAA or the local papers???

No, they have a coach who seems to be able to get his kids to all buy in. Honestly what I have seen from Billy is nothing special! Unless I caught him on a bad game.

The Big Trains are in a tough situation and I guess have had a decent season but not anything like the Pelle era a few years ago. The first round loss in the All-A and a likely 4 seed in the district would be the negatives but double digits wins would be the positive.

Billy along with several teammates are playing well together and are having a nice season as far as Silver Grove has had for several seasons. Nobody really stands out from the team which is a testament to coaching and players willing to play together. Congrats on a nice team season so far.......

I'm just a fan of the team no relation to any players. As I was just trying to get opinions on the team!

I'm a closet Big Trains fan. I was disappointed when they were "upset" in the 10th "A" at Regents Hall last week.

Billy Miller started in that game against St. Patrick and scored 9 points. He is a spoke in the Silver Grove wheel, that when they are playing well, play together nicely. Lambert, Billy Miller, Jonathan Miller, Kuntz, Turcious, and Pollitt compliment each other well.

I'd like to see them value possession of the ball in the half court a bit better. Coming down and chucking 3's at first opportunity simply provides their opponents more scoring opportunities and defense isn't the Trains' strong suit. The transition game suits them fine and is their bread/butter.

In the St. Patrick game when they fell behind, after having an 8 point lead, they reverted back to a one-on-the-world style that proved their undoing.

Funny sideline. I was doing the PA for that game at NKU. When I announced the starting lineup, I announced #3 as Anthony "Tenatious" Ter-shus, which I have called him on our internet radio broadcasts for the past four years. A lady came down from the crowd and said he pronouces his name Tur-C-ous. I looked around at her in dismay and asked, "When did he change his name???" - No fool like an old fool they say!!!
