Former Ft Campbell football coach Marshall Patterson passed away today. He won three states titles in 1976, 78, and 79 with the Falcons and won 227 games in 32 years as head coach.

As AD, Falcon teams won 27 state titles in different sports.

Sad to hear this, Coach Patterson was one of the states greatest of all time. I have always held him in the highest regard. RIP Coach!

^^You said it. I saw where there had only been one reply on this, but you said it all. One of the great ones, indeed.

Also sad to hear about coach Patterson passing away last night. Coach was a legend and always had his team ready to play. KY High School football lost one of its true colorful characters.

Any word out yet about his visitation and funeral date/time?

....lost a legend for sure.

He should be in the KHSAA Hall of Fame!
