On the other hand, they did drop out of the Three Rivers' Conference, which makes it hard to understand why they are continuing to play Piarist, Riverside and the David school, esp. twice each.

Glad to see someone with some sense about the scheduling. :thumb:

If JBS invites the above mentioned schools to their "little kingdom" next year, especially twice, then there is absolutely no excuse.

In defense of JBS, they have played a tougher schedule this year than in year's past ( including a win at PCC ). They also beat some other pretty decent teams. Their record this year is fairly legitimate, in my opinion.

All things told, I feel that JBS is one of the best teams in the region and while I understand the need to get a few "gimmes" on the schedule, I can't see playing those three teams ( Riverside, David and Piarist ) that many times and beating them that badly.

I agree that JBS is a much better team this season and has a good record with some key wins this season. I alos agree with the fact that they dropped out of the TRC to play better competition yet they still played Riverside, Piarist, and the David School. That makes no sense to me.

When has Buckhorn been beaten by anyone that badly, this year? I know they had a couple of losses in the mid-to high 20 point range, but that is far from what you are talking about. While it isn't exactly a basketball dynasty, Buckhorn is far from the level you are talking about.

I agree with you on this as well. To put Buckhorn with teams at this level shows the ignorance of someone. Buckhorn has had a great year and has competed with the best teams of the region. They slacked in a couple of games after the loss to Lee in the all a finals, but they seem to be getting life back. Come district time, no one better over look Da Horn.

I agree Buckhotn is a contender in my opinion.

Anyone up for some interesting reading? Pick up todays Troublesome Creek Times (the local paper in Knott County)!!!!! There is a nice little article which was reprinted from the Lexington paper about JBS's ONLY player. It gives an update on the young man's stats and also points out that JBS has the best win-loss record in the 14th Region. What it doesn't mention is the cupcake schedule that they played to get him his stats (if they're even accurate) and them their record. I believe that this article is a slap in the face of every player on every team in the 14th Region who actually had to work to get his points whether he averages 2 or 20 points a game. The sad thing is that they honest do have one of the best teams in the Region, but because of their schedule they took away their own right to brag. No reasonable person can compare JBS stats and record to any other top contender in the 14th Region because their numbers are inflated by the difference in the callibur of their competition. I just wonder if the Troublesome Creek Times will give the Patriots front page honors when they beat them Monday night.

Because of their arrogance I am sure that most 14th region fans will celebrate a little when the crusaders take another hard fall.

You know that JBS faithful do not talk about the games or the facts they just ramble on in an fashion that is not understandable. Maybe they want to plead temporary insanity? No wonder Clark Stepp is shooting for 4000 points. I read on the JBS schedule and stats that he has 500 assists already must be counting 7th and 8th grade results.

It is amazing to me that the same people continue to show their hatred towards a program made up of young kids. I don't agree with alot of the things the coaching staff does but there is no excuse to attack young kids on these pages.

I agree with you that JBS should not be playing the teams that you have metioned and if they would have replaced these games with better competition coming from the 14th and 15th region I think it would have made them better for next year.

The thing I would do if I was you is have your athletic director call JBS and schedule them for next year. Since they have played such an easy schedule that you all say then it should be an easy win for you.

Because of their arrogance I am sure that most 14th region fans will celebrate a little when the crusaders take another hard fall.

When you speak of arrogance I am confused because I do not know any kids on the team that I have found to be arrogant. What I have found is kids who work very hard on their academics and are rewarded by getting to play sports. JBS has around 30 boys in its high school and all kids are required to excel academically. The grade point average on the basketball team is about 3.5.....They currently have a kid who started alot this year but is playing very little because his grades were down. When you watch JBS play probably every kid you see play will graduate from college somewhere with most being from academic not athletic scholarships.

But if it makes you feel good to celebrate when these young kids lose then go ahead and celebrate...

The arrogant attitude is from the coaching staff.

Again you folks amaze me

1. I am not attcking these kids and I wish you would try and not play the little innocent guy. You know what I am talking about with my posts since our exchange of PM.

2. Since you want to play this way your posts are opposite of your PM.

3. Seems we have more in common than most especially about your coaches. 4. I applaud the mission of JBS in education and believe the way they run the basketball program is in direct opposites of the mission of the school.

If you want to call me out that is fine, I will not back down and you will know where I stand. So speak with a single tongue.

Some kids will lose in every game and that is something I do not control. So I guess you are right I would rather see JBStepp lose than KCC.
