Lafayette 63 Lexington Catholic 56

Woodford and Franklin will come out of the 41st but neither will be a factor in the regional tournament. Woodford County, outside of Boggess (who is all region no doubt), has major ball handling issues. Franklin County, from what I gather, has some internal issues and that group has yet to have a quality win. Currently Catholic is the #4 seed in the district. It could be possible, although doubtful, that Catholic could hook up with Lafayette in the district semis. That would be outstanding!

I think Franklin County has only played 2-3 games with a healthy line-up. The report that I'd gotten was that McCaskell, who is a top 10-20 type talent, has been out most of the year with an injury that was lingering from football season. With Rowe (top 10) and McCaskell (top 10-20), they have two solid players and a supporting cast that's gotten used to playing bigger roles than they'll actually need to the rest of the way given McCaskell's absence. Since he's returned to action now, so I expect Franklin to improve. With that said, they have had a rough loss or two in his absence, so they still have a way to go. I do see them as a team with a high ceiling though, based on what I've heard.

Not saying you are wrong or that I know the whole story, because I don't and could be wrong, I'm just going off of what I was told.

Tanner Johnson had an unusual off game for the Knights and they also only made it to the free throw line four times in the second half. Thats not gonna happen very often

Yea. I got to take a peek at the full stats after I wrote my article for the 11th this week. Seems that Lexington Catholic didn't have their best shooting night. At the same time, I'm guessing Lafayette's length might have had something to do with that as well.

Good point. After playing them and losing to them once already it's highly likely Lafayette made necessary adjustments for meeting #2. A minor tweak to the defensive game plan can go a long way sometimes.

Yes. And Lafayette was without a starter, Ross Jenkins, in that first game. He missed due to a death in the family. He's a 6'5-6'7 big man.

I remember Jenkins.
