This win pushes them to 4-0 in district play. Off of the Lafayette Sports Twitter page-Jackson Davis had 23 points, Dequise Robinson had 17 points and JuJuante Carpenter had 8 points off the bench. That's all I could get for now.

No problem, and no, but i'll try to make a plan to see them next time these two teams play. The way it looks now it will end up being either LexCath, Lafayette, or Scott County that makes the trip to Rupp.

Agree. Henry Clay or Bryan Station is good enough to upset one of the top teams.

 

It will be interesting to see how Franklin County plays from this point forward, as Lorenzo McCaskell played his first two games of the year last week. They are definitely a dark horse, but they'll have to come together quick. Woodford County will probably get to the region, and could pull an upset. They seem really guard oriented though, so certain teams are probably better match-ups for them than others. Either Woodford County or Franklin County will have to go in as the loser and will get a tough first game (some tougher than others though, as they've played pretty even with Madison Central).

 

Madison Central is a bit of a wild card. They're young but have played well so far. Other than Franklin County and Henry Clay, they might have the most upside just because they are so young.

 

Dunbar and Lexington Christian Academy all appear capable of beating someone on a given night, but will probably have to do it in districts because of where they'll be seeded.

 

As always, the draw in the 11th will go a long way in determining teams' odds. Whoever gets the loser of the Richmond district is probably going to be at a bit of an advantage. Whoever gets the loser of each of the two Lexington districts is going to be at a bit of a disadvantage.

Yes. Good student turnouts on both sides, but Lafayette brought more adult fans than LexCath had at home and controlled the noise level. Same thing happened at LCA game last week. It makes a difference. Trying to see all LexCath games this year, senior year for our youngest.

Woodford and Franklin will come out of the 41st but neither will be a factor in the regional tournament. Woodford County, outside of Boggess (who is all region no doubt), has major ball handling issues. Franklin County, from what I gather, has some internal issues and that group has yet to have a quality win. Currently Catholic is the #4 seed in the district. It could be possible, although doubtful, that Catholic could hook up with Lafayette in the district semis. That would be outstanding!
