Without going back to the play by play stats, I believe in the 2nd quarter, Ruth picked the pocket three straight times of the CJ PG and scored 6 straight points in doing so.

Did the same thing two years ago at Conner.

This turned out to be a good learning tool for the Colonels in the patience department as the visiting Eagles came out of the gate with some tough lock down 'D' that seemed to trouble CovCath a bit. Nothing came easy, but they stayed true and focused to get the win.

Chaminade, however tough, was horrible from the line which made all the difference.

What a good deal for the Colonels to have the services of Wichman, which proved to be a nice added bonus to their undefeated season. Great addition with him in the mix to an already solid lineup.

Hope Schuh is doing ok after rolling his ankle. He seemed to be walking alright after being taped up. Certainly don't want to lose what he brings to the game.

On a side note, 6' 4" Jr. Forward Myo Baxter for the Eagles sure is a load. Very strong dude with some serious power moves to the basket. Be interesting to keep an eye on his progress, and to see where he ends up at the next level. Hard to tell if he'll grow much more, but I wouldn't mind seeing NKU go after him. Perhaps though, to be more solid in their conference, they'll need an even bigger forward than him. Don't know???

Dude was indeed impressive and huge, looked more like a tight end, or middle linebacker but he could move smoothly, with and without the ball and had very good hands!

What impressed me about CJ was their effort. I mean they left it all on the floor, they never stopped fighting, nor gave an inch, if I were in their whatever they call it in Ohio, I would keep an eye out for them when it comes tourney time!

Congrats to Cov Cath on the W.

How close is Ruthsatz to becoming the all-time scoring leader at CCH?

1 attempt for Bo? Did he get hurt?

I FG attempt for Schuh and 1 FG attempt for Vonhandorf....

35 FG attempts for the Colonels for the game. That has to be a season low. I believe they are averaging over 50 attempts per game. The 2 / 3 zone really reduced the number of possessions in the game and CJ did a good job on the defensive end of the court in limiting the Colonels on the offensive glass.

Yes, open looks were in short supply. Funny thing as my brother and I were discussing Schuh with no attempts, just a mere few seconds later he nails a 3, then in the 2nd half had same discussion about CVH, then he nails his 3 seconds later. We thought perhaps our discussion was needed much earlier if it was going to have that effect.

I believe Andy Listerman has the record and it is in the 1700's. I would think Ruthsatz is somewhere in the 1,500's at this point, but as you can tell, I have no hard information.

Andy had 1730. Nick is about 230 short of that as of today.

Barring cancellations he has a minimum of 18 games left.

Could happen in the Dixie game if he averages about 18.

Thank you.

That would be about 10 more games or so.

Nice win for Cov Cath!
