ESPN's Bluegrass Basketball DVD

Hoping someone can help me out with this.

I've never seen this and was hoping to try to find one online, with no luck so far.

Does anyone know where I could purchase this?

Also would like to see "Colonels To Rupp" on the 2004 (?) Covington Catholic team, as I haven't seen that one either.

Idk...Amazon doesn't have it in stock, and I saw 0 copies on eBay. You might try a used store, like Half Priced Books.

I wasn't aware of either one of these DVD's. Sounds very interesting. Is there anymore info that you can provide about them? For Example: Who was behind the production of the CovCath one that you're talking about? When was the ESPN one released?

Now that I've thought about it, I'm starting to remember something about the ESPN one. Wow... the memory is a sad thing to lose. I think I might have even seen it long ago, or perhaps I'm just now remembering that it existed. The Judd factor is what is stirring it back in me.

Nevermind... Just realized when you click the "buy now" link it just takes you to the homepage

ESPN's DVD was released around 2003. I grew up in Clay County and played Little League, went to middle school, etc. with some of the Redbird kids who were featured.

Some of the CovCath fans on here can probably tell you where to get the "Colonels to Rupp" dvd.

One that I know you can buy (at least of a few years ago) is a GREAT documentary that KET did called "A Way of Life: Basketball in Kentucky". It was done during the 1997-1998 season and the producers followed a player from Clay County and a player from Louisville Ballard (who ended up winning the state that year) for the entire season.

Let me know if you can't find the last one and I'll see if I can help you.

The first one is a TOUGH one to find though, which really disappoints me, because I think anyone on here who posts regularly would LOVE to see ANY of the 3.

Lots of scenes from this one are used in the KHSAA's montage that they play on the video boards in Rupp before the state finals. I've seen all of those since they've been going (at least until I moved to San Antonio for law school and couldn't come back for the Sweet 16 because of class), but it looks great. Really wish I could own a copy.

Yep. Trust me, I've scoured the 'net for it already.

I've only watched a few segments of the ESPN doc. It's an incredible piece. Have not watched the others, but would love to.

I think there might be some folks within a stone's throw of this thread who might be able to answer dozens of questions about the CovCath one. :D

My girlfriend got mine online at Sears about 2-3 years ago. Some sites suggest that you can watch it on Netflix. Not sure how accurate that is though.

I wouldn't mind purchasing it.

Can't find it in their online store. Thanks for the help though.

I think it's one that's going to be really hard to find now. I even look on ESPN's Shop and couldn't find it.
